A Beautiful Day in Siena

We took the 8:00 a.m. bus to Siena and arrived
around 9:30.  Caught a taxi at the stazione
to Il Campo

 A beautiful day in Siena
The best weather to date

Fountain of Joy

 There she goes!

 Here they come!

I got carried away with pictures of the Duomo
There are so many thousands of details and I wanted
to capture them all

She's not really one of the details
on the Duomo...just near it.
Everything about her outfit matched
from sunglasses to heels

Taking photos of the photo takers

The half of man sitting to the right of Mimi offered to take their
photo.  He did and his thumb was the  most prominent feature of the photo

 Chasing Pigeons

 Not chasing pigeons

 To the Gelateria for dessert

 Delicious
Ginny didn't really get two
She is holding mine

To the Train/Autobus Stazione
where I did not listen to instructions
of where to find the bus to Montepulciano

Since we missed the bus we had to take a taxi
back to Montepulciano.
Our driver, shown above could/would only
drop us off at the edge of town, but we didn't know that
ahead of time.  We were close to a bus stop and we all
had bus tickets with us so it was easy to get back to the apartment.
Waiting for the bus, we met a couple from Washington (he was born
in Stockton).  They were curious about the bus, so Phyllis
gave them a couple of her tickets to ride the bus.

What we REALLY Do

Thank You Phyllis, Ginny and Mimi
for the following photos from Siena
it was a great day and I've had
a wonderful time with you all...
laughing and laughing and eating and eating and eating
and drinking wine, drinking wine, drinking wine,
and birra
