Today's Cat and Not Much Else

Another fun weather day

The light fixtures look like they could
be instruments of torture. This one is just outside my window.

Painting over the living room mantel.
Tuscany during the era of scrawny cows.
Now those cows that provide delicious steaks are NOT scrawny.
The Chianina is an Italian breed of cattle, formerly principally a draught breed, now raised mainly for beef. It is the largest and one of the oldest cattle breeds in the world. The famous bistecca alla fiorentina is produced from its meat.

Today's Cat

Three more friends arrive late Monday afternoon, so the housekeeper,
Giovanna and I are getting things spiffed up.
Added an extra bed which is quite comfortable.

These beautiful linen sheets were discovered in unopened trucks
that were the trousseau's of the owners great and greater grandmothers and aunties
that had never been used.  It's lovely sleeping on ironed linen sheets, with the pretty
embroidery.

These were on my sheets last week but are out for laundering now.
